Our mission at ReNew You Med Spa is to provide personalized quality medical aesthetic and cosmetic services in a comfortable and relaxing environment. We want to enhance beauty, increase confidence, and make our clients the best version of themselves possible.  ReNew you Med Spa will accomplish this by developing individualized treatment plans and protocols and educating each of our clients on the services that best fit their needs. Our practice is dedicated to providing each client with the best personal clinician-client relationship.  We raise the bar and want you to feel that your experience at our spa is incomparable and as wonderful as possible.

Virginia Thurston, FNP

I am a board-certified nurse practitioner and owner of ReNew You Med Spa. I received my associate’s degree in nursing from Southwest Virginia Community College, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a Master’s degree in nursing from King University.  I began my career in nursing as a way to care for and help others in the same way my family was cared for during my brother’s cancer diagnosis and mother’s heart disease. I have a wide range of experience in the medical field including addiction medicine, family medicine, pain management, pediatrics, telemedicine, and urgent care. I have always had a desire and passion for making those around me feel good about themselves. Realizing the impact that beauty and wellness can have on a person’s life, I completed extensive training in medical aesthetics at the National Laser Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona. I completed 140 hours of training in: 

  • Medical directing

  • Laser Therapy

  • Advanced injectables for botox, Dysport and dermal fillers

  • Microneedling with and without PRP

  • PRP injections

  • Female rejuvenation

  • Kybella

  • Weight loss

  • Non-surgical body contouring

  • Sclerotherapy

Medical aesthetics gives me the ability to focus my efforts on making those around me feel more beautiful and confident.

I am always furthering my education to make sure I provide the best possible care for my patients and the community.

Lisa Pope

We are proud to have Lisa Pope as our aesthetician here at ReNew You Med Spa. Lisa is originally from Bristol, TN, but has lived in Abingdon, VA with her husband Steve, and 2 children for many years. She was working as a fitness instructor when she realized she had a desire to pursue skincare and makeup. Lisa received her aesthetician license in 2011 and then in 2013 her cosmetology license. After working at a medspa for a few years she decided to further her education and in 2018 she received a master aesthetician license and has also became licensed in permanent makeup. In addition to loving what she does, she enjoys spending time with her family, 3 dogs, and her cat.
